Brewery Lab Technician

Description

As Laboratory Technician, you will be a part of the Bald Birds Quality Management Department., you are an important part of the Bald Birds Quality Management infrastructure and have a direct influence on the success of your department and your team. In this role, you are responsible for enforcing company policy, lab practices and SOPs for our quality program. This role reports to the Lab Supervisor and Director of Operations.

• Ensure all parameters of food safety and quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the facility.
• Assist with batching chemicals/ingredients for production.
• Calibrate lab and line equipment for accurate results.
• Collect in-process and finished product samples.
• Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure it meets specifications.
• Perform aseptic testing for microbial contamination.
• Follow protocols for documenting testing results.
• Recognize deficiencies and initiate proper follow-up.
• Identify and isolate products that do not meet standards.
• Aid in troubleshooting deficiencies and non-conformances.
• Review food safety and quality records.
• Actively participate in plant teams (HACCP, Safety, etc.)
• Conduct other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must follow GMP Policy - Hat, safety glasses, earplugs and hairnet in production areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 2 Years – Experience working in Position
  • 2 Years – Project Management

Education

• Minimum Required:
  • High School Diploma
• Preferred:
  • Associate's degree

Certification/License:

• Required: N/A
• Preferred: HACCP
