Bridge-Tunnel Maintenance Superintendent / Crew Lead

GovFirst is seeking to hire multiple Bridge-Tunnel Maintenance Superintendents / Crew Leads to support our maintenance and operational opportunities in various locations of Virginia which includes Bristol, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Newport News, Suffolk, Surry, Salem, Lynchburg, Staunton, Culpeper & Richmond, VA within the Transportation Operations Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day highway, electrical/mechanical, and physical plant maintenance activities at tunnels, movable bridges, and adjacent systems.
  

• Manage staffing, asset management, and technical development within the maintenance section.
  

• Ensure maintenance procedures and budgets are effectively implemented and monitored.
  

• Provide training, both initial and recurring, to ensure staff competence and readiness.
  

• Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  

• Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, including VOSH and OSHA standards.
  

• Support maintenance doctrine and facilitate continual improvement initiatives.
  

Requirements

• Extensive experience in highway, electrical/mechanical, and physical plant maintenance.
  

• Demonstrated expertise in staffing, asset management, and maintenance budgeting.
  

• Knowledge of safety standards including VOSH and OSHA.
  

• Strong leadership, communication, and training capabilities.
  

• Ability to manage multiple maintenance operations and ensure compliance.
  

• Experience in developing SOPs and maintenance strategies.
