Enterprise Solutions Architect

6 Month contract (Likely to extend)

The Venue Tech Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, engineering, and delivering technology solutions for large venues and events. This role requires a deep understanding of technology infrastructure, networking, system integration, and co-located data centers. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex projects and ensuring the seamless delivery of technology services in large-scale environments. This position may involve overseeing on-site and off-site co-location hosting solutions for technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end technology solutions for large venues and events, including networking, audio-visual systems, security, and connectivity.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, translating them into technical specifications and solutions.

• Lead the engineering and implementation of technology solutions, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Oversee the integration of various technology systems, ensuring seamless operation and interoperability.

• Manage and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all solutions, including architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and user manuals.

• Current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing new solutions as appropriate.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including data security and privacy.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

• Plan and manage technology infrastructure for on-site and off-site co-location hosting, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in media operations, broadcast technology, streaming engineering, or related fields.

• 7+ years of experience in a solution architect or similar role, with a focus on large venue technology solutions.

• Strong knowledge of networking, audio-visual systems, security, and connectivity technologies.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale technology solutions for events and venues.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including data security and privacy.

• Ability to travel as required for project implementation and client meetings.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong familiarity with modern broadcast standards and technology, particularly ST 2110.

• Strong familiarity with modern video IP transport standards and technology, including IP codecs and transport protocol.

• Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.

• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure, Hybrid cloud).

• Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL’s, QoS, VLAN’s and Wireless Access Points.

• Proven track record of successfully completing complex engineering projects.

• A clear understanding of project phases; Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction and Activation.

• Experience in Agile methodologies for planning and delivering.

• Experience in the entertainment, sports, or hospitality industry.

• Skills and experience in engineering and managing co-located data centers, including planning, setup, and maintenance of data center infrastructure.

• Expertise in ensuring high availability, load balancing, and disaster recovery solutions for co-located data centers.
