Job Description - Brokerage Operations Specialist

Brokerage Operations Specialist 


 


Dynamic Transit is an asset based, privately held transportation company with over 300 power units and 600 trailers. We are headquartered in Granite City, IL and are currently seeking a motivated, passionate Brokerage Operations Specialist at our office for a full-time position. 


As a Brokerage Operations Specialist, you will ensure operational excellence by supporting both internal and external customers. The focus of this position is to track and trace our client’s shipments, make pickup and delivery appointments, communicate to ensure on time departures and arrivals and establish and grow relationships with carrier partners while providing best-in-class service. 


 


Position Duties:  



  • Provide customer and carrier follow-up. 

  • Answer incoming calls. 

  • Schedule appointments. 

  • Provide shipment information and audit load information. 



  • Complete customer and carrier requests. 

  • Track and trace shipments. 

  • Input data entry. 

  • Prioritize, schedule, and arrange pickups. 

  • Provide customers and carriers with updates on details of transactions in accordance with SOPs, monitor and manage shipments until completion. 



  • Building new relationships with carrier partners across the country 

  • Manage the carrier partners that you secured during the training program as you introduce new relationships to your portfolio. 

  • Sharpen your negotiation and customer service skills alongside your Carrier Sales team and manager. 

  • Build internal relationships with our Business Development team members and work together to find the best solution for their clients. 


 


Position Requirements:  



  • Minimum of 12 months experience working at a brokerage or asset-based company. 

  • Prior experience with customer sales and service. 

  • Reliable, flexible, and ambitious. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 



  • Highly organized 

  • Excels in a fast paced, data driven environment. 

  • Strong data, analytical and reasoning skills. 

  • Experience with MS Office.
