• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Three years budgeting or accounting related experience required with two years academic health science center experience preferred.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and database maintenance required.
Basic Functions
• Supports all aspects of budget development and annual budget process. Maintains budget versus actual reporting and position control roster.
Specific Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains StrataJazz databases.
• Develops salary budget models and databases for all entities.
• Supports centerwide fringe rate determination.
• Develops Excel worksheets and schedules for annual budget process.
• Analyzes actual performance against budget, routinely and through special analytics.
• Manages and reconciles approved FTES in Human Resources system, Workday.
• Manages and oversees staffing reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Data analysis requiring querying and extracting data from various financial sources.
• Maintenance and analysis relating to the Manual of Financial Relationships and interinstitutional calculations.
Relationships
• Interacts with all levels of Albany Medical Center management, up to and including Executive Vice Presidents.
• Communicates with external consultants as required.
