Title: Build and Release Engineer

Location: NJ (Onsite and Hybrid)

Duration: W2 Contract (no C2C)

We are seeking a skilled Build and Release Engineer to ensure the quality and velocity of our IT Software Configuration, Release, and Deployment management processes. This role will involve migrating releases across all environments, maintaining configurations, troubleshooting incidents, and automating tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Automate release and deployment management tasks using scripting, integrating with SDLC or ITSM products, monitoring solutions, and CMDB solutions.
• Document deployment procedures and processes for multiple technologies and platforms.
• Improve hand-offs between software migration, testing, and other SDLC tasks through reporting and oversight of KPIs and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with the Release Engineering team to execute software deployment requests for various technologies.
• Maintain access to all environments, including DEV, QA, UAT, and Production, for code migration of custom software.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for applications through CLI automation.
• Learn and implement new technologies and products, enhancing deployment techniques and efficiency.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Agile software development processes.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub is a plus.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Ant, Python, or Perl (3-5 years).
• Experience with automating code testing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Puppet, Chef for provisioning systems on Azure.
• Understanding of hand-offs between Architecture, Development, QA, and Operations.
