As a Drone Build Technician, you’ll be part of our growing drone assembly team, turning parts into fully functioning drones. Using hand tools, soldering irons, and testing equipment, you’ll bring precision, patience, and pride to every step of the build process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a sharp eye for detail, and takes ownership of delivering high-quality products.
What You’ll Do
Assemble drone frames, arms, braces, and fasteners following detailed work instructions
Mount and secure motors, motor skids, and related hardware to frames
Install ESCs, capacitors, and power leads; perform precise soldering on small wires and terminals
Wire and connect flight controllers, receivers, video transmitters, and antennas to defined standards
Flash firmware and verify system functionality during final assembly
Apply quality standards at each stage, inspecting and reworking assemblies when necessary
Maintain accurate production records and follow shift startup/shutdown procedures
Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe
Adapt to shifting priorities and meet critical production deadlines
Take ownership of product quality and reliability throughout the build process
What You Bring
Proven soldering or electronics assembly experience
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; able to work with hands for extended periods
Background in drone assembly or similar electromechanical builds (preferred)
Ability to follow technical instructions step-by-step while thinking critically about assembly sequence
Clear communication skills to flag defects, issues, or potential improvements to engineers/technicians
Comfort with repetitive tasks and strong attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
