Building Commissioning Specialist

The Greenridge Group, a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management is seeking a Building Commissioning Specialist to join our team. We deliver fully integrated Program management solutions to both public and private sector clients, including serving as the prime contractor for several public sector clients.

About the Role:

This role involves overseeing the commissioning process on small to medium-sized projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, CHPS, and commissioning standards.

*Salary Range: $155K/Year-$166K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commissioning process for assigned projects
• Perform design, submittal, and closeout document reviews
• Develop pre-functional and functional checklists, as well as commissioning plans
• Conduct commissioning meetings and lead project commissioning activities
• Perform field observations and functional testing
• Document and track test results on issue resolution logs
• Prepare final commissioning reports and related deliverables
• Support the development of staff training and continuing education opportunities
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist Project Managers

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-time paid professional experience in commissioning
• Working knowledge of building code, CHPS, and commissioning requirements
• ANSI commissioning certification (e.g., CxA, CxT, BCxP, or Certified Commissioning Professional)
• Extensive knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in design or construction management with a focus on mechanical systems
• Engineer-In-Training certification or valid CA Professional Engineering License
• Industry-recognized energy management certification
