This position is to clean and care for our school facilities and to assist the school administration in providing a well-maintained, safe work environment for staff and students.
Responsibilities:
Opening and/or closing of school buildings
Assist Maintenance team when needed (maintenance, emergencies, deliveries)
Respond to request from Supervisor and/or Administration
Partner with receptionists on reporting any building issues through the Work Order system
Clean all custodial equipment and tools, returning them to their storage area after each use
Report any building issues to Supervisor or Administration
Provide daily cleaning/maintenance services to assigned buildings.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. or more on a consistent basis
Keep building and premises, including sidewalks and play areas, neat and clean
Shovel snow from sidewalks and steps; sand as needed
Check daily to ensure that all doors are working properly during the hours of building occupancy
Check daily to ensure that all doors and windows are locked properly, that alarms are set, and that gates are secured and locked (second shift: 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)
Be available to respond on an as-needed basis for emergency calls (police, fire, flood, snow, etc. – pager provided)
Experience/Qualifications:
Valid drivers’ license
Ability to read instructions
Experience in building cleaning and minor maintenance
Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in custodial operations
Ability to make minor repairs
Aptitude for assigned responsibilities
Ability to work effectively with others to support the mission of the school

Experiencia/Cualificaciones:
Licencia de conducir válida

Examen físico (anualmente)
Experiencia en limpieza de edificios y mantenimientos menores.
