Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance/Custodian team member to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facility. This individual will be responsible for performing routine cleaning duties, general maintenance tasks, and minor repairs to keep our environment in excellent condition for staff and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform daily custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas
- Handle minor building repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, replacing filters)
- Maintain outdoor areas by sweeping walkways, removing trash, and basic landscaping upkeep
- Monitor facility systems and report any larger issues to the supervisor or property management
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and report hazards promptly
- Assist with setting up or breaking down equipment and furniture for events or meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of custodial or general maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safe usage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
