Building Maintenance Technician

Super Vacuum Manufacturing Company is an established locally owned family business, classified as an essential business that manufactures fire equipment and emergency vehicles that help our communities to save lives. We are looking for an energetic, team-focused building maintenance professional to join us in Fort Collins, CO.

Must have:

• Valid Driver’s License


• Building Maintenance: 3-5 years preferred

Essential Functions

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards


• Basic electrical knowledge. Perform maintenance of electrical systems (Replacements of LED and Drivers etc, receptacles, cord caps, able to run conduit etc.)


• Inspect and test electrical equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions, using visual inspections, testing devices, and tools


• Able to maintain various AC Heating system


• Basic Plumbing, able to replace toilets, sinks, Filters, flush mates, etc. Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality


• Responsible for Inspection of fire alarms, security system, schedule inspections and repairs when needed (will train) this will include crane inspections


• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
  


• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping, mowing, sprinklers), cleaning (e.g. Windows), snow plowing/ removal, and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)


• Able to repair or replace shop equipment for all kinds, maintain forklifts, etc.


• Able to operate scissor lifts, and forklifts (will be trained and certified)


• Able to work overtime as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proven experience as maintenance technician


• Basic understanding of electrical, other systems


• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods


• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices


• Manual dexterity


• Must be able to lift 50 pounds


• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, ability to bend and twist


• Ability to problem-solve


• High school diploma or equivalent, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
  


• Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test and criminal background check

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Compensation: $22-$27/hour

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
