Building Substitute Teacher (SY25-26, Middle School)

What You’ll Do

As a Building Substitute Teacher at Veritas Prep, you will step into classrooms to provide continuity in instruction and support for our high school students if a core teacher is out. You will report to the Pine Street Campus and be assigned coverage and tasks daily based on school needs. You will report to the Director of Operations.

You will also:

• Deliver engaging lessons across various subjects
• Foster a positive classroom environment that enhances student learning
• Utilize school-wide routines to ensure a smooth functioning of daily activities
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student performance and well-being
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills
• Establish meaningful relationships with students and their families
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in your teaching practices

What You’ll Need

• A strong belief in the potential of all students to achieve
• A desire for continuous improvement and growth as an educator
• Commitment to addressing racism and promoting equity in education
• Experience in a classroom setting (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Current authorization to work in the United States prior to your start date

Students can earn up to an associate degree for free, and the general studies associate degree from STCC means students enter as JUNIORS at any Massachusetts public college or university after high school graduation.
