Job Description - Bulk Loader

Description

The Bulk Loader operator responsible for overseeing multiple loading stations and coordinating with internal teams to optimize loading schedules. This role involves advanced equipment troubleshooting and mentoring junior loaders.



Responsibilities
  • Weigh trucks and railcars and adjust product quantities as directed.
  • Label containers, container tags, and products accurately.
  • Inspect materials, products, trucks, and railcars throughout the loading process.
  • Record shipment information, including weights, dates, times, product details, and required shipping documentation.
  • Apply and verify seals on railcars and bulk trucks and maintain accurate seal records.
  • Collect and document product samples as required.
  • Operate mobile equipment and position railcars on-site.
  • Complete downtime tracking forms and control charts related to bulk loading operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing trash, debris, and product spillage.
  • Follow all safety procedures, safe lifting practices, and mobile equipment operating guidelines.
  • Understand and follow bulk loading procedures, including contamination prevention measures.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Valid Mississippi driver's license required.
    • Current forklift certification required.
    • Ability to pass a job-specific basic skills assessment.
    • Strong reading, writing, verbal communication, and basic math skills.
    • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and UltiPro.
    • Ability to work safely and maintain high quality standards.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work from elevated platforms, and use hand tools.
    • MSHA Part 46 (24-hour) training required prior to starting work.
    • ISO training required.
    • Must be trained on all applicable ISO 9002 procedures.
    • Must understand plant Lockout/Tagout/Tryout (LOTO) procedures and know the location of electrical disconnects within the work area.
    • On-the-job training provided for 30 days in accordance with the union agreement.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) experience.
    • Forklift operating experience.
    • Warehouse or industrial manufacturing experience.
    • Experience using computer software in an operational environment.
