Now Hiring: Bulldozer Operator – Pipeline & Facilities Construction
West Penn Energy Services LLC is hiring an experienced Bulldozer Operator to support pipeline and facilities construction projects throughout Western Pennsylvania. This role is based out of our Shelocta yard, with travel to nearby project locations as needed.
We’re seeking a dependable operator who has experience on active job sites, including grading right-of-way, working on slopes, and supporting production in rugged field conditions. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate bulldozers for tasks such as rough and finish grading, right-of-way clearing, backfilling, and slope maintenance.
Safely maneuver equipment around active crews, trenches, and buried utilities.
Perform routine maintenance and pre-operation equipment inspections.
Support other job site tasks as needed, including basic labor or assisting in loading/unloading equipment.
Communicate effectively with foremen, operators, and laborers to maintain safety and productivity.
Follow company safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
Maintain situational awareness in changing terrain and weather conditions.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months of experience operating bulldozers in pipeline, utility, or heavy civil construction environments.
Skilled in right-of-way grading, slope work, and working in soft or uneven ground conditions.
Strong understanding of excavation and earthmoving safety practices.
Willingness to assist with manual labor duties when not operating equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Shelocta yard or job site.
Additional equipment operation (e.g., excavators, skid steers) is a plus.
OSHA 10/30 certification or relevant safety training (preferred).
Working Conditions:
Outdoor field work in varying weather (heat, cold, rain).
Physical labor required when not in equipment: lifting, walking slopes, digging.
Travel to various job sites in the region, with occasional overnight stays possible.
Overtime and extended hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
