Bus Driver

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

The primary purpose of this position is to transport residents to and from appointments and activities in a safe manner to destinations located beyond the premises of the facility . This position is part-time, 9am-4pm. Weekends required for special events only.

· Provide safe transportation to and from activities/appointments for residents as scheduled.

· Pickup and deliver items as directed to meet the needs of the community.

· Assist each resident on and off the vehicle to ensure personal safety using proper and specified equipment and procedures.

· Responsible for daily inspection and maintenance of the community vehicle (gas, oil, coolant, air pressure, lights, etc.) and cleanliness of the interior and exterior.

· Identify transportation issues/concerns to the Executive Director.

· Attend and participate in service training programs to meet state

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be at least 18 years of age or comply with State or local laws regarding the employment of minors.

· A high school diploma or equivalent.

· Driving record that meets facility’s vehicle use policy.

· Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public

· Suitable to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of each resident.

· Capable of handling emergency situations.

· Familiarity with the North Royalton area is preferred
