Bus Driver - As Needed (STF2721)

Bus drivers are needed for occasional driving assignments, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions – 

• Provide back-up for regular bus drivers.


• Transport college groups to functions, both in and out of town.


• The ability to work as needed.


• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.


• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
  

Secondary –

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Facilities. 

QUALIFICATIONS (Essential):

• Required to possess or qualify to possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) plus the “P’ (Passenger) endorsement, airbrake qualification, and the DOT physical examination. Driving record will be checked.


• Required to be a neat and clean individual – the image we portray to students, staff, and community members is important.


• A positive service minded attitude is required.


• The ability to work effectively and professionally with students, staff, and others.


• Motor vehicle mechanic experience preferred.


• Motor vehicle chauffeur experience preferred.


• Physical requirements include excellent vision; excellent eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment; ability to assist in lifting heavy objects (possibly up to 100 pounds or more); may work/drive in adverse weather conditions; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; This job is predominately sedentary/Indoor/Outdoor work environment.

WAGE and STATUS:

The hourly rate is $15.00 per hour; the hours and days of work will vary.  This position is not eligible for the benefit package; nonexempt; at-will.
