Job Description - Bus Washer & Service Attendant

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Bus Washer and Service Attendant
Starting Annual Salary: $33,609

Join our team and help maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of our transit vehicles and facilities. We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Bus Washer and Service Attendant.

Key Responsibilities:

Fuel, clean, wash, and disinfect the interior and exterior of transit vehicles.
Wipe down, wash, sweep, and mop the interior floors of all buses.
Clean the exterior of buses using scrub brushes and a pressure washer.
Park buses and perform bus exchanges as needed.
Refuel vehicles daily and manage the parking and placement of vehicles.
Maintain the cleanliness of FXBGO! Transit facilities.

Qualifications:

Good oral communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Preferably one (1) year or more of janitorial or auto detailing experience.
Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions.
Willingness to learn shop processes, including fueling and cleaning vehicles.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must hold or obtain within sixty (60) days a valid Virginia CDL Class B or C (CDL permit acceptable initially); air brake endorsement strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Background checks, including driving records and previous employment verification, will be conducted.
Employment contingent upon passing a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug testing.
Subject to post-hiring random drug testing in line with Department of Transportation requirements.
