What You’ll Be DoingContract negotiations, Rights and clearances, Strong Talent background and familiarity with all aspects of SAG/AFTRA, and ACTRA Unions.Review creative materials and advise Agency teams on any talent, copyright, and intellectual property issues. Knowledge of copyright and trademark law a must.Work with Counsel on advisement of any copyright and intellectual property issues, contract templates, risk assessment and indemnificationsTrademark searches for proposed branding, tag lines, etc.Provides guidance on the most cost-effective ways of hiring talent (domestic and foreign talent) for a project and how it affects the residual budgets.Secures all possible options upfront for talent and licensed music providing cost savings to the client.Review vendor agreements to ensure they meet compliance standardsNegotiate and generate all Music LicensesWork with Producers and Marketing Teams regarding all talent sessions, residuals, and all other talent and music related costs.Manage union claims, audits or reporting requirementsExecute P&H payments for Large Sum Guarantees; Organize approval and use against agreements.Prepare production related purchase orders and contracts covering production, editorial, insurance, music, stock footage, animation, and other 3rd party licensesProcess all talent invoices with marketing/production/financeBind insurance for all production jobs
What You’ll Bring to the TableMinimum 3+ years relevant industry experienceExcellent negotiation skills and experience working with Talent AgentsStrong working knowledge of SAG/AFTRAStrong attention to detail; articulate and thoughtful written and verbal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a TeamSelf-motivated and self-starter; proactive. Able to deal with rapid change in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment; Proactively seeks out assignments. Takes Ownership.Collaborative and solutions oriented with a problem-solving attitudeThorough understanding of Broadcast/Integrated ProductionBA/BS Degree preferred
