Business Analyst

Position Summary:

RA Holdings is looking for a Business Analyst serves as a key link between business operations and technology, helping improve processes, systems, reporting, and overall organizational performance. This role works closely with leadership, estimating, project management, operations, accounting, safety, fabrication, and recruiting teams to analyze business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that drive efficiency and profitability. The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and evaluating data, documenting business requirements, developing reports and dashboards, supporting software implementations, and recommending process improvements that enhance construction operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.


• Collaborate with department leaders to understand operational challenges and define business requirements.


• Document current-state and future-state processes.


• Recommend best practices to improve performance, productivity, and scalability.


• Collect, organize, and analyze business data from multiple sources.


• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reports.


• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.


• Monitor performance trends related to estimating, project execution, financial performance, labor productivity, and equipment utilization.


• Partner with project teams to improve project reporting, forecasting, and resource planning.


• Assist in the development and tracking of project performance metrics.


• Analyze project costs, labor hours, production rates, change orders, and profitability.


• Support continuous improvement efforts across field and office operations.


• Analyze bidding and estimating data to identify trends and opportunities.


• Support the development of bid tracking, proposal management, and preconstruction reporting tools.


• Assist with forecasting workload and pipeline activity.


• Help improve estimating workflows and reporting accuracy.


• Support implementation and optimization of software platforms and business systems.


• Work with internal stakeholders and vendors to gather system requirements.


• Assist with software integrations, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training.


• Recommend technology solutions that support operational goals and efficiency improvements.


• Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning efforts.


• Analyze revenue, costs, profitability, backlog, workforce utilization, and other performance metrics.


• Develop reports that support executive decision-making.


• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.


• Develop business requirements documents, process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures.


• Ensure consistency and accuracy of data and reporting practices.


• Support change management initiatives during process or system improvements.


• Maintain documentation for systems, reporting tools, and business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, data analytics, or mathematics.


• Internship or 6+ months of experience in business analysis, operations analysis, project controls, or related roles.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.


• Experience gathering business requirements and documenting workflows.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.


• Familiarity with SQL, database reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms.


• Utilize AI-powered related tools to streamline certain tasks within the company.


• Experience supporting ERP implementations and process improvement initiatives.
