with excellent communication skills that demonstrates experience with documenting complex business processes, eliciting business requirements, modeling business process, compiling use cases and user stories, and supporting the design of workflows and operations. Must thrive in a high energy environment, excel at working without significant supervision, be independently motivated, outgoing, diplomatic, detailed, schedule driven and accountable.Responsibilities:Participate in requirements elicitation with client to define needsDocument As-Is environment and business workflowsModel business processesSupport the compilation of To-Be environment and business workflowsParticipate in agile and waterfall software development lifecyclesAuthor requirements, design, and training documentationSupport training materials and support training class delivery based on varying client needsWork in multi-disciplinary project teams made up of software developers, business analysts, GIS analysts, technical managers, and business subject matter expertsParticipate in project team meetings with client mgmt. and other contractorsDocument meeting minutes, draft business needs assessments, and perform gap analysisResolve problems within working teams and with clientsCompile user stories with the requisite details and acceptance criteriaDevelop and execute test cases to confirm system requirementsGenerate mock-ups, wireframes, or related graphics to illustrate requirements or workflows.Work with developers to clarify requirements throughout the application development process

:Minimum Qualifications4 year degree, B.A., B.S.3 years experience functioning as a Business AnalystMust have experience in business operations and workflow analysis, training, client relations, public speaking, technical writing and/or project life cycle documentation?Required Skills/ExperienceFamiliarity and experience on agile and waterfall projectsExperience with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to work directly with clients to gather requirements based on their needs and translate those requirements into tasks for developersAbility to operate as a member of a project team tasked to complete scheduled deliverables for a clientExcellent verbal communication and organizational skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPreferred Skills/Experience:Experience building test cases to confirm requirementsDegree in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, Engineering, Math, Management Information Systems or related field.Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other agile certificationExperience with Tableau and/or PowerBIExperience building and maintaining a Requirements Traceability MatrixExperience preparing and documenting a testing planFamiliarity with GIS and/or geospatial technologyExperience with Azure DevOps and/or JIRAExperience with wireframingExperience working with government clientsExperience preparing for and facilitating end user trainingMS Visio experienceExperience analyzing client needs and working with a team to develop solutionsCompany Overview:GeoDecisions, a division of Gannett Fleming, is an award-winning leader in the information technology industry, specializing in geospatial solutions.GeoDecisions reputation for success is founded on providing innovative solutions, utilizing the power of spatial information to government, nonprofit, and commercial organizations across North American and beyond.
