To put it simply, you will be responsible for helping YES Prep's Finance team improve the organization's back-office functions. The Business Analyst will address opportunities to improve internal customer experience and lead improvement projects for the betterment of the department. This person will serve as a problem solver and coach to the organization to help create a culture of continuous improvement amongst the finance sub-departments. THE ROLEWhen you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:Illustrative Responsibilities and Duties:Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and analyze business efficiencies and help implement solutions using Munis Helping improve operational work processes by designing solutions to improve process flows Executing testing of technology changes and represent finance in technology change management; Managing Munis administrative functions including security and workflow maintenance, business process configuration, tenant configuration, and data loads for the Finance team; Providing Munis support including, but not limited to, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; for the Finance team Aiding internal work teams comprised of cross-functional SME's to identify gaps, non-value added steps, and other impediments to efficient process operation Aiding the reporting development and distribution for the Finance Department Performing regular audits to ensure Munis and other workflows are working as intended Aiding in creating and maintaining documentation as needed to lead and support training for Finance related Munis tasks Creating and delivering professional presentations that communicate project approach, progress, findings and recommendations Selecting, collecting, and analyzing data to find root causes of performance issues Performing data analysis and workload allocation analysis, capacity planning and operational performance analysis Helping develop and creating customized reports and dashboards that provide insight into key performance indicators Professional ExpectationsDemonstrating behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible;Participating in workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills;Demonstrating knowledge, and support of YES Prep Schools mission, values, standards, policies and procedures, confidentiality standardsEnsuring compliance with all state and federal laws, local board policies, administrative guidelines, and the Texas Educators' Code of Ethics;Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice, with little to no direction;Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with others.THE PERSONWe seek staff with diverse backgrounds, talents, interests, and ideas. Health and Supplemental Insurance - A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits. Retirement Plans - Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and a 457b Retirement Plan. Paid Time Off - Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar. Paid Leave Programming - In the event you need to be out due to medical needs (including maternity and paternity leave), YES Prep offers paid leave, paid out at 100%, based on eligibility and tenure.
