Overview
The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations.
Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Analyst for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). The Business Analyst - Data and Reporting is responsible for analyzing and benchmarking IP&O Business Service Operational data for Parking and Transportation, Housing, Economic Development, Golf Couse, Mail, Record Retention, Warehousing, Fleet Management and other operations. Will provide timely reporting of such to Business Services leaders.Among the key duties of this position are the following:

The Analyst will serve as a liaison between Business Services and IP&O's Strategic Services in all data collection efforts streaming from or impacting Business Services units.
The Analyst identifies business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs.
It is essential that the Analysts build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues.
Analysts work with the Business Service leadership to determine business requirements, priorities, and define key performance indicators (KPI). Includes working with Business Service units and Strategic Services teams to design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports.
This individual is accountable for facilitating information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to the Vice President of Business Services.
Must have organizational, communication, and leadership skills that are second to none and enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries.
This position will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for Business Services.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in the field of Business, Computer Science or a related field and/ or a combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five (5) years experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of data analytics.
