Business Analyst, Amazon Fresh Grocery

The Amazon Fresh Grocery team is looking for a Business Analyst to support current business reporting/data needs (e.g., weekly performance reporting, selection management, cost improvements, operations, marketing/merchandising, instock) while developing scalable solutions for the future. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business.

The candidate will think holistically about the data needed to support Amazon Fresh growth and provide recommendations/modeling on long term capabilities. The leader will drive business improvements through identifying short- and long- term solutions, streamlining actions for customers and using data to identify business opportunities. This person will help develop the vision, roadmaps and plans with partner teams to drive org-wide goals.

The ideal candidate will take a user-centric approach when solving data problems, have both a business sense and a solid understanding of the technical landscape. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
-Proactively identify data needs and deliver improvements for the Category team, including WBR design, ad hoc and standardized reporting and dashboard creation
-Provide visibility to program status (roadmap, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis to leadership, all stakeholders and team members.
-Represent Category data needs and drive improvements in org-wide data availability

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering , analytics, mathematics, statistics or a related technical or quantitative field
- Experience with SQL
- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identifying and solving business issues
- Experience with providing data to make retail business decisions, including sales, margin, shrink, promotions and inventory data.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
