We are looking for a highly motivated business data analyst to work with subject matter experts and stakeholders in developing our supply chain scheduling systems. This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with an aptitude for creativity, critical thinking, and modeling. This person will be expected to take ownership and drive positive change.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses the ability to work well with internal and external cross-functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Create a strategy for the development of functional requirements with business users and IT members for possible solution provider/vendor assessments.
  • Lead the interviews, brainstorming sessions, workshops, etc for gathering necessary requirements from user groups
  • Work cross-functionally with other internal departments to ensure new products/features align with enterprise strategy.
  • Assist in partnering with the business and technical team on solution design with a focus on streamlining workflow and standardizing the event processes.
  • Leverage modern technologies to improve analytical capabilities to support operations.
  • Provide analytical support.
    • Analyzing data for patterns and trends.
    • Visualizing data to make it easier to understand.
    • Presenting data in such a way that it tells a compelling story.
    • Develop and deploy metrics to answer key business questions.
    • Communicate complex analysis and insights, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Ability to write detailed use cases and functional requirements and to work with development members to confirm application design.
  • Experience developing and analyzing key metrics to drive the build vs buy decision.
  • Strong data analytics skills to drive rapid decision-making.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Optimistic, self-motivated, and assumes ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven history leveraging tech to automate and enhance business processes.
  • Experience managing projects through different software development lifecycles including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Proven experience developing, implementing, and supporting business intelligence and data visualization tools including Tableau, PowerBI, or similar for large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supply Chain knowledge and experience are a plus.
  • Experience with value chain analysis and strategy (volume, revenue, profit analysis, and decision-making management).
  • Experience with forecasting or scheduling.
  • Understanding of best practice analysis and visualization techniques.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
