Business Banker

 Arthur State Bank is seeking a Business Banker to develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of business banking relationships within our local markets. This role focuses on delivering relationship-based financial solutions—including deposits, digital banking, and business lending—while maintaining strong credit quality and providing exceptional client service.

The Business Banker serves as a trusted financial partner to local businesses, actively sourcing new relationships, expanding existing client relationships, and supporting the Bank’s mission of strengthening the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of business banking relationships
   
• Originate and structure credit facilities, including lines of credit, term loans, mortgages, HELOCs, and other commercial and C&I loans
   
• Drive deposit growth, fee income, and full-relationship banking across assigned clients
   
• Proactively call on prospective clients and centers of influence to generate new business opportunities
   
• Build strong relationships with local businesses through consultative conversations and ongoing engagement
   
• Identify client needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services
   
• Partner with internal teams, including credit analysts and underwriters, to prepare and present credit requests
   
• Monitor credit quality, including past-due loans, financial reporting, covenant compliance, and loan exceptions
   
• Ensure all activities comply with Arthur State Bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
   
• Maintain accurate and complete loan documentation and portfolio records
   
• Participate in community involvement, networking, and business development activities to enhance the Bank’s local presence
   
• Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and competitive offerings
   
• Deliver prompt, professional, and responsive service consistent with Arthur State Bank’s customer-focused values
   

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
   
• Three or more years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, or related financial services preferred
   
• Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing long-term client relationships
   
• Working knowledge of commercial credit analysis and loan structuring
   
• Ability to analyze business financial statements, tax returns, and cash-flow projections
   
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
   
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
