Business Banking Lending Assistant

Summary: Responsible for assisting Business Bankers in all aspects of customer service, portfolio management, loan processing, 

documentation, and customer follow up.

Essential Functions

•  Must be individually driven and competitive, as well as motivated to work as a team to achieve Business Banking goals.
•  Must be able to communicate effectively with customers during difficult situations.
•  Educate and advise customers on emerging technology and digital solutions such as mobile and online banking, ATM offerings, all designed to make banking easier.
•  Process new account and loan transactions.
•  Complete necessary paperwork for opening/revising/closing new/existing accounts and loans
•  Be well versed in all Century Bank products, on-line banking and bill pay.
•  Cross-sell Bank products and services.
•  Assist with questions or concerns regarding current accounts, products, services and transactions.
•  Perform traditional functions as needed by accurately processing loan documents, checking and savings deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc.
•  Answer customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
•  Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
•  Ensure bank is in compliance with federal banking regulations including, but not limited to; Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm Leach-Bliley Act, the Federal Reserve’s “lettered” regulations, and lending assistant roles and responsibilities relating to each act.
•  Have the knowledge and ability to assist customers with RDC, Visa Merchant Services and Mobile Banking.
•  Must be willing to travel to other branches when needed. 
•  Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Graduation from high school or equivalent GED
•  Some college or postgraduate technical training preferred
•  Must have excellent customer service skills and a good attitude.
•  Loan processing experience is preferred
•  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
•  Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
•  Above average computer and keyboard skills.
•  Good organizational skills.
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
