Job Description - Business Developer

Job Title: Business Developer


 


Start Date: Immediately 



Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000/Annually


 



Position Overview: The Business Developer plays a critical role in generating qualified, inspection-ready leads that fuel the success of our Account Managers and sales team. This individual combines outbound outreach, relationship-building, event coordination, and strategic follow-up to keep a steady stream of opportunities moving through the pipeline.


This role will be focused on identifying prospects, initiating meaningful conversations, and ultimately supporting a conversion path that leads to revenue growth. This role frees Account Managers to focus on closing deals and nurturing relationships while driving growth through consistent, high-quality lead generation.


 


Essential Functions:



  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Development

    • Conduct outbound call and email campaigns to generate and qualify inspection-ready leads

    • Prospect general contractors, property managers, and building owners using permitting databases, past project lists, and networking contacts

    • Maintain accurate CRM records for lead status, activities, and conversion tracking



  • Discovery Meetings & Handoff

    • Schedule and attend introductory meetings with prospects, always including the assigned Sales Rep

    • Collect relevant site details, pain points, and project insights during discovery

    • Pass leads to Sales Reps with thorough documentation and remain available as needed



  • Strategic Event Support

    • Host 2–3 Lunch & Learns per month with:

    • General contractors and estimators from multiple divisions (roofing, interiors, exteriors, etc.)

    • Property management companies and their portfolio leaders

    • Include Sales Reps to align technical knowledge and strengthen rapport

    • Attend 2+ networking events or industry association meetings monthly to grow reach



  • Deal Follow-Through & Client Retention

    • Attend final project closeout meetings to help transition completed projects

    • Present warranty materials and introduce our CLARITY Rooftop Maintenance Program

    • Encourage clients to enroll in CLARITY to improve retention and long-term value



  • Lead Nurturing & Reporting

    • Support follow-up outreach and email campaigns alongside Account Managers

    • Analyze lead quality and conversion performance monthly

    • Suggest ongoing improvements to lead gen strategy





Work Environment/Physical Requirements:



  • Indoor office environment with routine visits to field sites.

  • Use of hands for work at a computer, taking notes, etc.

  • Vision adequate for reading monitors, documents, and fine print.

  • Prolonged sitting and working at a desk.

  • Ability to move freely (walking, bending, etc.) to visit field sites.

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required.
