Join an elite team of business development professionals! We have an immediate opening for an energetic and highly motivated Business Development Associate to join our business development team. The Business Development Associate role will be responsible for making outbound calls and sending follow-up emails to companies in transition with the goal of scheduling appointments for our office furniture and facility services team members. This position requires making a high volume (40+) of outbound calls each day and executing a cadence of follow-up calls, email outreach and LinkedIn messages to acquire new qualified leads.

This position includes training and mentorship from our top producers with our well-defined messages and outreach strategies. As part of our Business Development Center of Excellence, our goal is to ensure that a highly motivated team member will be able to source projects from Fortune 500 companies and become a multi-million dollar generating sales professional. This is an incredible opportunity for someone that is focused on building a long-term career in business development and interested in advancing their sales career at a faster pace.

As part of the larger business development team, after finding success in this role there will be opportunities to expand into the team’s relationship-building efforts with in the commercial real estate and interior design communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving lead data from Research Team focusing on outreach to companies in transition or with upcoming lease expiration dates in order to initiate outbound prospecting calls in an effort to set up qualified appointments for our sales team.
  • Cultivate prospect relationships by conducting follow-up communications (i.e. emails, LinkedIn InMails, tracked Hubspot communications) to further lead generation opportunities with the goal of setting up appointments for our sales team.
  • Obtain names, telephone numbers, email addresses and any other pertinent information as required for decision makers involved in the project.
  • Timely and accurate data input of leads, scheduling call-backs and appointment information into our NetSuite ERP system.
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients by ensuring all communications are logged accurately.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of outside sales/business development experience is a plus
  • Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive “can-do” attitude with the ability overcome obstacles and pursue desired results
  • Comfortable utilizing technology, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP software
  • Detail-oriented with an organized, systematic approach to achieving success
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
