Why this role
Build and grow BPE's real estate relationships across Sarasota and beyond. You'll be the face of our firm in the real estate community — building trust with agents, brokers, and referral partners, driving new business, and representing BPE at events, closings, and community gatherings. This is a relationship role for a relationship person: someone who loves being out in the field, connecting people, and translating those connections into real growth.
What you'll do
Own new business development while nurturing existing relationships — reach out daily, follow up consistently, and never let a referral go cold. Visit brokerages weekly, stop by open houses, and schedule coffee, lunch, and happy-hour meetings with agents, brokers, and BPE attorneys. Plan and host BPE training sessions at brokerage offices, in-house facilities, and board offices — and build customized training packets for each audience. Represent BPE at local community events, trade shows, and after-hours networking (some evenings and weekends required). Plan and execute BPE-hosted events end-to-end — from invitations and catering to follow-up. Track activity and pipeline in Capsule CRM, Qualia, and Microsoft Office. Run quarterly referral reports, identify at-risk agents, and plan outreach before relationships go cold. Own your territory budget, measure ROI on events, and report against annual goals.
What we're looking for
You're a natural relationship-builder with strong public-speaking and presentation skills — comfortable in front of a room of agents or one-on-one over coffee. You're a self-starter who can run your own calendar, hit quota without supervision, and thrive in a field-based role. You're organized enough to track every interaction in a CRM and disciplined enough to follow up on every commitment. You communicate clearly in writing and in person, and you represent the firm well wherever you go.
Bonus points for: prior business development experience in real estate, title, mortgage, or legal services; existing relationships with Sarasota-area agents and brokers; event planning experience; or bilingual English/Spanish.
Role logistics
This is a field-based role with significant time away from the office — expect brokerage visits, open houses, after-hours events, and weekend activities as part of the regular rhythm. Light lifting (event setup, booth materials) is part of the job.
What we offer
- $75K–$85K base plus performance-based bonus opportunities
- Health insurance, retirement plan, and generous PTO
- Paid holidays
- Annual all-expenses-paid firm trip (post-eligibility)
- A collaborative, multi-office Florida firm with a genuine commitment to work-life balance
- Real ownership of your territory and strategy — not just an event-planning seat
