Business Development EIR

Job Description - Business Development EIR

This is a commercial and legal role at the center of how Masterschool grows. You'll own the full deal lifecycle — from structuring partnerships and transactions to drafting the agreements that close them — while also building the legal infrastructure that keeps the company operating cleanly across jurisdictions.

This role is for someone who thinks commercially and understands business structuring in its full complexity — tax implications, compliance, operational agility, and profitability. Someone who sees the big picture fast, moves end-to-end without waiting to be told, and treats every deal and every legal question as a business problem first. An enabler by nature, with the initiative and drive to run things forward independently.

What you'll do:

  • Be an active partner in structuring Masterschool's corporate and partnership architecture — across entities, jurisdictions, and deal types.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close commercial deals — strategic partnerships, vendor agreements, and M&A transactions.
  • Own all commercial contracts end-to-end — from MSAs and partnership deals to student-facing terms — from first draft to signature.
  • Partner with legal firms supporting the company globally, ensuring clear ownership, fast execution, and practical business-aligned guidance across jurisdictions.
  • Serve as a business and legal advisor to the Board — advise on governance, strategic transactions, and equity programs, and prepare board resolutions.
  • Build and run the company's compliance framework across relevant jurisdictions (US, Israel, and others as we grow).
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, People, Product, and leadership to enable fast, informed decisions.
  • Business-first mindset — 2+ years in a business, financial, or legal role.
  • Deep understanding of corporate structuring — entities, tax implications, and cross-jurisdictional operations.
  • Operative and deal-oriented — moves fast, closes things.
  • Analytical and financial acuity.
  • Strong contracts foundation.
  • M&A and transactions exposure.
  • Fast, self-directed learner.
  • Hands-on by nature.
  • Native English and Hebrew speaker.
  • Location: Full on-site, Tel Aviv.
  • Israeli / US Bar license — an advantage.
