is hiring a Business Development Manager to work with our team in our NYC office. In this role, you will develop and implement a plan to aggregate rights data from agents and other rights holders. The Business Development Manager develops and grows partnerships within the agent and publisher community. You will demonstrate deep knowledge of the literary market and, in particular, an understanding of book-to-screen and other rights sales processes. Finally, the Business Development Manager will advise leadership on new product and business development opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5 years experience in sales and/or business development to include 5 years in the publishing market.
Preferred Qualifications:
Established contact lists with literary agents, authors, and publishers.
Prior experience with a start-up or smaller agency.
Key Responsibilities:
Executes and manages the strategic direction and relationship with agents and other rightsholders for Ingram Data Services products.
Partners with agents and other rightsholders to access their data and share it with relevant audiences via Ingram products and services.
Partners with management to oversee and direct all operations regarding agent services and integrations. Advises other Ingram departments and stakeholders on agent and rightsholder user experience.
Develops and drives the value proposition of Ingram Data Services to grow data acquisition and product sales, meeting key performance objectives set by the business.
Develops reporting that measures business performance, growth, profitability and efficiency.
Identifies potential new opportunities that promote long-term growth and proposes deals in response to business opportunities.
Engages in planning and implementation with agents and other rightsholders through to contract signature stage; follows agreed protocols for contract negotiation.
Hiring Salary Range: $111,565 - $160,585. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
