Job Description - Business Development Manager, California - Digital Building Components

Job Description

As a Business Development Manager for Digital Building Components' X-Series product, you will be responsible for the pursuit and capture of new business opportunities relevant to our exterior wall panel systems. This role requires a flexible team player who can manage multiple tasks, produce high-quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the architecture or construction industry, previous experience with panelized/unitized façade solutions, and a passion for building long-term client relationships.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Sales and Relationship Management:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company goals.
Identify and develop target customers, understanding their needs and how our products can meet them.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architects, general contractors, and owners.
Lead Go/No-Go sales calls and manage full project pursuits.
Conduct in-person and virtual sales calls, including the preparation and follow-up required.
Travel throughout California and the Pacific Northwest to visit job sites and meet clients.

Project Management:

Oversee the pursuit process, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products.
Lead interview prep sessions and prepare written proposals in collaboration with a marketing coordinator.
Plan and organize job site visits to showcase installed panelized products.

Market and Industry Engagement:

Act as an external ambassador at industry events.
Participate in speaking opportunities and hold an active seat on a local industry-related committee.
Utilize sales tools to track and convert leads into opportunities.
Continuously seek out market opportunities with a strategic mindset.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Previous track record of achieving exceptional sales results.
Strong time management and organizational skills leading to responsiveness.
A happy, spirited, upbeat personality with superb communication and listening skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Understands what comprises a good business deal.
Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Strategic thinker with a proactive, never-settling attitude.
Familiarity with prefabrication and unitized wall systems is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Cosential, or other CRM sales programs.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the architecture or construction industry.
Experience in new commercial construction building facades.
OSHPD and DSA experience is a plus.
Recognized and respected within the architectural, engineering, and general contracting industry.
This position is salaried.

Anticipated starting pay range :
$120,000.00- $180,000.00
