We have a direct hire opening for a Business Development Manager in San Jose at a company specializing in fasteners like screws, nuts, bolts and many other mechanical components. This is a 1st shift position!

In this outside sales role, engage with manufacturing companies in the Bay Area who rely on fasteners and mechanical components for their own products.

They have an office in San Jose, however, in this outside sales role, you have the flexibility to live anywhere within the Bay Area!

Direct Hire Opportunity - Be on our client's payroll from Day 1!

Pay and Shift Information: 

  • Pay: $85k to $87k/annually
  • Quarterly Bonus Program: You're eligible to participate in the quarterly bonus program after 3-6 months of employment
  • 1st shift: 8 am-5 pm; Monday to Friday

Job Duties of the Business Development Manager:

  • Help the company to expand their client base and develop a sales territory within the Bay Area
  • Drive new business with your cold calling efforts
  • Schedule and meet with at least four customers daily across various industries like medical, semiconductor, and telecom
  • Partner with internal sales teams to create and implement sales strategies
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with current clients
  • Attend client meetings and use product knowledge to provide solutions that fit their needs
  • Manage contract negotiations, complaints about product quality, and introduce clients to other departments within the business
  • Provide clients with product samples and marketing materials as needed
  • Work with engineering and procurement teams to respond to Request for Quote and develop pricing strategies to fit client needs
  • Keep management informed about your sales efforts and outcomes in the territory 

Job Requirements of the Business Development Manager:

  • 3-4 years of experience working in outside sales 
  • Have experience calling on manufacturing companies within an assigned territory 
  • Must have excellent phone and in-person sales presentation skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills is essential
  • Leverage your experience in outside sales, negotiation, and consultative selling
  • Valid driver license is required
