Job Description - Business Development Manager/Chef

Marra Forni, a global leader in artisan commercial brick ovens, is seeking a passionate and skilled Business Development Manager/Chef for the Mid-Atlantic Territory. This role combines culinary expertise with strategic sales and business development to drive organic growth and enhance brand presence in the region. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry knowledge, chef network, and customer engagement skills to increase local traffic to the Marra Forni Culinary Art Center, organize factory tours, and grow sales through hands-on culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Drive organic sales growth by      identifying and cultivating relationships with restaurant operators,      chefs, foodservice consultants, dealers/distributors, and industry      influencers.
  • Develop and execute a strategic      plan to increase visitation to the Marra Forni Culinary Art Center for      live demonstrations, product testing, and chef training.
  • Organize and host factory tours,      highlighting the craftsmanship, customization, and performance of Marra      Forni ovens to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team      to convert leads into equipment sales by demonstrating product benefits      through live cooking sessions.
  • Represent Marra Forni at local industry      events, trade shows, and culinary expos to increase brand awareness and      expand the customer base.

Culinary Leadership & Brand Advocacy

  • Conduct hands-on culinary      training and demonstrations for chefs, operators, and distributors to      showcase the capabilities of Marra Forni ovens.
  • Develop and execute menu      consultation services, helping operators maximize profitability with Marra      Forni solutions.
  • Act as the culinary face of Marra      Forni in the Mid-Atlantic region, building strong relationships within the      hospitality and foodservice industries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a      professional chef (preferably in a pizza, global cuisine, and live-fire      cooking environment).
  • Experience in business      development, sales, or culinary consulting within the foodservice      equipment or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
  • Passion for artisan cooking      techniques, live-fire cooking, and premium foodservice equipment.
  • Strong public speaking,      presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly      within the Mid-Atlantic region to visit customers, host events, and attend      industry functions.
  • Self-motivated with a strong      entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently.
