Job Description


Primary Accountabilities:


The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth for Hoyt’s Truck & Trailer Center by identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with potential and existing customers. As a first point of contact for our organization, this role focuses on promoting the services of Hoyt’s Truck Center & Hoyt’s Trailer Center to fleet managers, owner-operators, and other businesses utilizing heavy-duty truck and trailer equipment. The BDR is responsible for 4 key areas with duties pertaining to each.



  1. Sales & Revenue Growth

    1. Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, in-person visits, and referrals.

    2. Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads using customer resource tools to follow up on existing and potential clients



  2. Customer Relationship Management

    1. Build and nurture strong relationships with customers

    2. Conduct in-person visits and meetings to understand customer needs and how we can better serve them.

    3. Serve as a point of contact for customers to address inquiries and concerns.

    4. Travel with department managers monthly to



  3. Market Research & Prospecting

    1. Research market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.

    2. Provide insights to management on pricing strategies and service offerings.

    3. Utilize department managers when identifying new and existing customers to include on sales calls.



  4. Collaboration & Communication

    1. Work closely with the parts and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and timely service delivery

    2. Communicate customer feedback to internal teams to improve services and processes.
