Job Description

Industry Dive seeks to expand its Business Development team, a pivotal move in our strategic sales growth. Our success is fueled by creating long-term content marketing programs with global brands. As a Business Development Representative, you will be at the forefront, showcasing our content strategy and development prowess to top marketers worldwide.

Working closely with the Director of Business Development, you will shape our outreach strategy, identifying and cultivating qualified opportunities for our Account Directors. Success in this role will open doors to diverse career paths within the company, spanning sales, marketing, solutions consulting, or customer success.

Responsibilities

Source and secure outbound leads to build pipeline for Account Directors.
Develop engaging outreach strategies across email, phone, and social media to provide value to prospects.
Actively participate in meetings, exchanging insights, and collaborating to overcome challenges.
Meet and exceed monthly targets for meetings and pipeline generation.
Expand understanding of how content marketing programs benefit studioID customers by seeking innovative approaches and best practices.

Performance Metrics

Number of meetings booked
Number of opportunities created
Monthly/Quarterly account of calls made and emails sent

Qualifications

Proven 1-2 years of experience in marketing, sales, research, or business development.
Passion for content marketing and its impact on global brands.
Proven ability to use and/or learn sales tools.
Self-starter with a growth mindset.
Experience achieving and exceeding monthly goals.
Ability to be a strategic partner within a team while working independently and effectively managing your time.
Ability to confidently overcome prospect objections through persuasion.
Adaptability of a quick learner with self-awareness to recognize strengths and areas for improvement.
Metrics-driven with an understanding of activity waterfall.
Ability to learn target personas and how to best engage with them.
Ability to quickly build rapport and provide value.
Reside in Washington DC.

Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 plus commission
