Description
Main Purpose:
The Business Development Representative builds and strengthens internal and external relationships, manages customer relations, and implements strategies designed to increase revenue and acquire new business opportunities for the offshore coatings and scaffolding divisions. The offshore division is responsible for jobs and projects located in the Gulf of Mexico.
Essential Functions:
Building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external sales and marketing departments, vendors, distributors, and customers
Research and identify new markets, trends, competitor activities and potential customers and partnerships for the offshore coatings and scaffolding divisions
Develop and execute a comprehensive account management plan to ensure that business relations are maintained and enhanced
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies to improve market research
Ability to prepare and present proposals, reports and research
Continually learn about the Company’s products and services
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, talking, and hearing
Close Vision and ability to focus
Must be able to lift and/or move a maximum of 15 pounds
Job Requirements:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Must be able to pass a background check
Sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Knowledgeable in fabrication, construction, and soft craft services
Proven experience in sales, marketing, business development, and management
Ability to travel occasionally
Desirable Experience, Education, and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is required
5+ years experience in sales for soft craft services is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Office equipment
Environmental Conditions:
80% to 90% of the work activities are performed indoors.
