Business Insights Reporting Associate

The LA Clippers are seeking a Business Insights Reporting Associate who will support the Data Analytics team by fulfilling routine reporting requests, creating and updating Power BI reports, validating report outputs, and helping stakeholders access clear, accurate data. This role works from mature semantic layers and curated datasets, partnering with analysts and analytics engineering to support reporting needs across ticketing, operations, fan experience, app/loyalty, retail, and venue performance. 

This is a part-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is not eligible for benefits. Due to the nature of this industry, candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays to support high profile concerts and NBA games. 

What You Will Do

• Respond to routine report requests and ad hoc data questions from business stakeholders.


• Build and update Power BI reports using mature semantic layers and curated datasets.


• Validate report outputs to ensure numbers are accurate and ready to share.


• Support recurring reporting across ticketing, operations, fan experience, app/loyalty, retail, and venue performance.


• Partner with analysts to fulfill business-critical reporting and analysis requests.


• Escalate data issues clearly when they require analyst or analytics engineering support.


• Maintain report documentation, including metric definitions, refresh cadence, and usage notes.


• Support reporting access requests and user group maintenance.


• Summarize findings and report updates clearly for technical and non-technical partners.


• Other duties as assigned by Manager, Data Analytics.

Your Background, Skills and Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Math, Economics, or another related field.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting. 


• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence tools. 


• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data before sharing results. 


• Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting concepts, including filtering, aggregation, and trend review. 


• Basic SQL experience or interest in developing SQL skills. 


• Clear written and verbal communication skills. 


• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests. 


• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-moving environment. 


• Interest in learning and applying AI tools and best practices to support the team's ongoing AI skill development. 


• Interest in sports, live events, entertainment, fan experience, or venue operations. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience documenting reports, metrics, business rules, or data definitions. 


• Experience supporting ticketing, CRM, marketing, retail, operations, finance, or customer/fan data. 


• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL databases, or modern data platforms. 


• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar technologies to improve productivity, reporting, analysis, or documentation.

Compensation

• $30.00 per hour


• The role is classified as non-exempt.
