Our team is using machine learning and customer research to change the way we think about customer service at Amazon, and we are looking for a customer-focused BIE to help us make some large strategic changes to the organization.
Key job responsibilities • Help design and implement a new set of success metrics to drive our entire organization. • Design the dashboards, scorecards, and reporting necessary to drive adoption of those new metrics. • Build predictive models to contribute to our personalized help strategy (we have senior scientists nearby to mentor as needed). • Perform deep-dive analysis to better understand customer behavior.

About the team Our team exists to change the way we think about customer service. We use customer research and machine learning models to drive fundamental changes in the organization, and we are shifting the prevailing mindset from that of transactional efficiency to long-term relationship management. We are not afraid to take risks and try new things, but we also believe in taking the time to lay a solid foundation so we don't get stuck with massive tech debt later on.

Austin, TX, USA | Nashville, TN, USA | San Francisco, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
