Business Intelligence/Data Management Consultant – Full-time position

 About the Opportunity:

Eccella is recruiting full-time consultants in the US region. Eccella will provide complete training in the leading industry software tools for Data Management and Business Intelligence as well as in consulting practices.

The position will entail direct client interaction in implementing the full project life cycle – requirements gathering, project definition, architecture, development, testing, deployment and knowledge transfer.

Projects are challenging both technically as well as intellectually and require a unique combination of soft skills for client interaction, creative thinking for quick problem solving as well as in depth technical knowledge.

Candidates are expected to have a good aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies. Client projects are staffed both nationally and internationally and can last from a few weeks to a few months before moving to the next project.

Our clients consist of public sector organizations as well as Fortune 500 Financial, Entertainment, and Business Services companies among others.

Responsibilities:

- Learn new technologies and practices quickly

- Support existing projects in analysis, design, development, test, deployment and knowledge transfer

- Work with R&D to support development of new products

- Interact with clients as well as other consultants both onsite and remote

Qualifications:

- Graduate with Bachelor’s, Masters or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or related field

- Knowledge of Management Information Systems: SQL, relational theory, data modelling, various different RDBMS (eg Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 etc.)

- Expertise in Programming

- General Computer Science knowledge – operating systems, networking etc.

- Intelligent, quick to learn new technologies

- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and keep up with fast-paced environment

- Openness and adaptability to company culture; successful collaboration with direct and virtual teams across multiple geographies

Plus (but not required):

- Knowledge of Data Integration tools such as the Informatica Platform, Ab Initio, Datastage

- Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics tools such as Cognos, Business Objects, Microstrategy

- Knowledge of XML and XSLT
