Business Manager

St. John LaLande Catholic Church in Blue Springs, Missouri has an opening for a Business Manager. This is a leadership position, responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the financial condition, physical plant and human resources of the parish, school and early childhood academy. Serving as the primary on-site decision maker with matters of significance. This position reports to the Pastor.  

Essential Duties

• Manage and direct all accounting functions such as budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity and financial reporting.
• Prepare, administer and review budget process in collaboration with the Pastor and Finance Council.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems are properly maintained.
• Manage and record church contributions, pledges, estate planning and donor programs.
• Manage school and early childhood learning academy tuition.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting.
• Minimum of three years experience in management, accounting, finance and business operations.
• Intermediate skill level in QuickBooks, Excel, and Parish Soft.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
