Northline Seafoods is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Business Manager to support the organization’s administrative and operational functions. This multifaceted role will manage critical areas of our corporate operations including administrative oversight of our Bellingham headquarters, business licensing, company insurance, legal assistance, and cross-departmental planning and communications. The Business Manager will also closely support leadership on various projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages business licenses, vessel registrations/documentation and trademark renewals.
Ensures annual state filings are completed and compliant.
Serves as the source of business account information for the company’s departments.
Oversees all insurance policies including marine packages, workers comp, auto and equipment, liability, obtaining COIs, tax bonds, etc., tracking renewals and ensuring compliance with contracts/operations.
Supports leadership with legal matters, collecting documentation and acting as a liaison with legal counsel.
Manages company property and equipment leases, serving as the primary contact, tracking renewals and coordinating communications with landlords.
Administers and audits all company subscription accounts and access, as well as company’s digital filing systems in Google Drive.
Supervises and supports the Bellingham Office Manager.
Facilitates cross-department planning and supports executive leadership with administrative and project-based needs.
Ensures smooth administration workflows and processes throughout the company.
WHAT YOU BRING
A degree in business administration, business management, or equivalent degree or hands-on experience.
4+ years of experience in business administration and operations.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Strong understanding of managing insurance, licensing and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and cloud-based systems.
Highly organized self-starter, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.

Experience in the seafood and/or maritime industries.
Experience working directly with Senior Leadership.

Regular interaction with cross-functional teams, executive leadership, and external partners.
