Position Purpose:          

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, resource management, and high-quality production standards. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory and equipment, and optimizing processes, and coordinating with design and fabrication teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy that sets the company’s overall direction for success.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the company that demonstrates a profit acceptable to Tribal leadership.
  • Ensures efficient and effective operation in production, sales, and customer service.
  • Develop new products and services while improving existing ones.
  • Provides strong supply chain management.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and implements changes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Responsible for hiring and training employees.
  • Provides leadership to a team of production professionals.
  • Estimates and quotes prices.
  • Negotiate procurements.
  • Plans projects including scheduling and logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Business. MBA preferred.
  • One year of knowledge/experience in wood/metal fabrication.
  • Three years of management experience.  
  • Experience in CRM/ERP software and contract management.
  • Ability to write a business plan.
  • Experience in working with Native American Tribes.

Requirements

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License and Insurance.

  • Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.

Work Requirements:

Position involves prolonged sitting, standing, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 plus pounds daily. Work is generally performed in an office/construction site environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
