Job Summary


The Business Solutions Representative supports West Carolina’s business customers by identifying needs, recommending solutions, and managing sales and support for security, VoIP, internet, and related business services. Works with outside sales and internal teams to ensure accurate delivery and customer satisfaction. Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage ongoing accounts.



Duties & Responsibilities


· Identify, qualify, and engage prospective business clients through inbound and outbound channels.


· Conduct needs assessments and evaluate client environments to understand client requirements across technology, communications, and security to provide the optimal solution.


· Present and recommend customized solutions including security systems, camera solutions, hosted phone systems (VoIP), internet services, and or related business solutions.


· Advise clients on business services and scalable technology solutions.


· Educate customers on service features, upgrades, and best practices.


· Develop quotes, proposals, and service packages for inside sales and collaborate with outside sales consultants.


· Process orders and coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and outside sales consultants to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services and resolve technical issues.


· Perform follow-ups with customers and outside sales consultants to ensure satisfaction, address questions, and advance opportunities.


· Perform outside site visits as needed for cameras, security, hosted phone system training, and any additional needs.


· Provide technical guidance and first-level support for security and business technology solutions.


· Assist with configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of systems including networks, VoIP/hosted phones, cameras, security and related services.


· Maintain documentation of technical findings, solutions, and customer interactions.


· Stay current with industry trends in security, networking, and business communications.


· Performs other duties assigned by management.*

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


· Knowledge of Consultative B2B sales.


· Knowledge of VoIP, networking, internet, and security systems.


· Knowledge of technical troubleshooting.


· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools and software.


· Strong consultative sales and communication skills.


· Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.


· Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.


· Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize tasks efficiently.


· Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.


· Ability to complete work accurately and maintain high performance under time constraints and deadlines.


· Experience with solution design and proposal development.



Education & Experience


Minimum Requirements: Valid driver’s license. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Experience in sales, technical support, telecom, or technology consulting. Strong understanding of business technology, networking, or communications solutions.



Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Experience with security systems, VoIP platforms, and internet services, B2B sales experience, and technical certifications.



Working Conditions & Physical Requirements


· Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.


· Must be able to operate computer and other office equipment.


· Must be able to communicate and collaborate with coworkers and various business partners virtually, face-to-face, and over the phone.


· Work is primarily performed in an office environment, and the noise level is typically moderate, consistent with a professional office environment.


· Primarily office-based with occasional site visits and travel to surrounding areas.


· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.


· Occasional overnight travel and training as required.
