POSITION CONCEPT:
The overall objective of the Business Strategy Analyst position is to support Tampa Electric’s strategic planning and implementation, including the development and communication of corporate strategy, and connect strategic priorities to business operations and relevant regulatory and legislative policy considerations. The position works independently on assignments including research, analysis, reporting, policy insight, strategy development and communications. The position participates on cross-functional teams to address complex operational, commercial or strategic initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
Required: Minimum bachelor’s degree in either accounting, finance, economics, engineering or business.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 2 years of relevant work experience in utility business operations or functional responsibilities (e.g. research, data analysis, financial analysis, strategy development) or related energy industry and/or regulatory policy issues with a basic understanding of utility operations and planning functions
Preferred: Graduate-level business degree from an accredited university is beneficial for future progression
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Preferred: Working knowledge of the electric utility industry, including utility operations, regulatory constructs, financial drivers, and key performance indicators.
