VPG is a global leader in precision measurement and sensing technologies. We design and manufacture high-performance products that support critical applications in the industrial, medical, aerospace, and automotive sectors.  

We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer to join our Purchase team on a full-time basis:

Major Responsibilities:

•      Plan and allocate raw materials for subcontract machining processes, ensuring alignment with work orders and production requirements
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to commitments to support seamless production operations. Prepare Standard cost for all process & ensure the cost within budget constraints,
•      Strategize subcontract transportation plans, including routing, material collection, and documentation, based on operational priorities
•      Maintain ageing Work Order within LT & WIP Cost.
•      Coordinate development of process at subcontract for new products and obtain approval from quality for samples.
•      Ensure Dual source for all process, evaluate cost based on process involved.
•      Coordinate with logistics for SEZ customs approval, ensuring timely completion of online activities and accurate documentation.

Technical Competencies:

• Process details and cycle time
• BOM detailing 

Good to have Competencies:

• Commercial negotiation on sub contract process.
• Costing Knowledge

Essential Competencies:

• Material planning
• Supplier Performance monitoring
• Inventory Cycle count knowledge,
• Documentation, Drawing.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Management (or equivalent).
• 10 years of experience in procurement / buying within a manufacturing or engineering-driven environment.
• Proven experience working with Commercial negotiation on subcontract process.
