Job Title:             Buyer Associate

Shift Timing:     Hybrid work opportunity. Mon/Fri remote, Tue, Wed, Thu in office at company headquarters. 8am-5pm eastern time, 1 hour unpaid lunch.

Pay rate:             $17 - $24.75/hr

Job Description

·         Opportunity with in our Integrated Planning group within the Supply Chain department reviewing purchase order confirmations for accuracy as well as shipping documents.

·          Inputting shipping information into a portal for tracking and expediting purposes.

·         Will work directly and collaborate with senior buyer on day-to-day functions to support our Import PVF group.

Responsibilities:

·         Placing purchase orders, expediting, and providing customer service functions.

·         Compilation and maintenance of information and records to prepare Purchase Orders.

·         Contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and maintain relationships.

·         Reconciliation of payable discrepancies and customer problems.

·         Manage freight billing and audit processes.

·         Research specifications of products not clearly identified.

·         Enter and edit purchase orders and blanket order releases.

·         Ensure product file integrity.

Qualifications:

·         Strong customer service skills.

·         Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.

·         Intermediate Microsoft Excel/Access skills, and above average math skills.

·         Ability to handle pressure and work effectively within deadlines.

·         Bachelor’s Degree- preferred but not necessary.

·         1-2 years’ experience professional customer service with great attention to detail.
