Buyer Associate - Urgent Hire

Our client in Northeast Austin is seeking a Buyer Associate to work onsite. Work Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm. Pay is $26/hr.

The requirements for the Buyer role are:
- 3 or more years of purchasing
- Strong Excel and Word Knowledge
- Proven Organization Skills
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- A Positive Attitude
- A Great Work Ethic
- A willingness to learn how to manage a business.
- Manage vendor relationships
- Build customer and supplier contacts

Responsibilities:
Placing purchase orders, expediting, and providing customer service functions.
Compilation and maintenance of information and records to prepare Purchase Orders.
Contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and maintain relationships.
Reconciliation of payable discrepancies and customer problems.
Manage freight billing and audit processes.
Research specifications of products not clearly identified.
Enter and edit purchase orders and blanket order releases.
Ensure product file integrity.

Qualifications:
Strong customer service skills.
Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, and above average math skills.
Ability to handle pressure and work effectively within deadlines.
Bachelor's Degree (Business, Computer Science, Communications preferred but not necessary).

Pay Details: $26.00 per hour
