Our client in Austin designs and builds leading edge communications equipment for aerospace applications and they are growing quickly.

They are looking to hire a Buyer for a 4 month contract role with some possibility of extension / permanent.

The preferred candidate will be thoroughly familiar with the P2P process, as well as experience at a small company / startup.

Pay rate for this position will be $35 - $38/hour depending on experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Identify and research potential suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts, manage the purchasing process from beginning to end
Generate and place purchase orders and optimize ordering processes
Resolve receipt discrepancies and assist in creation and implementation of inventory control processes
Analyze costs, develop and implement cost reduction activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through effective communication
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree plus ~5+ years experience in supply chain, preferably in aerospace and/or

electronics industry
Solid background in P2P, including requisitioning, procurement, negotiations /contracts, payment and cost analysis
Experience using ERP systems for procurement as well as the engineering design process; previous work with PLM tools is helpful
Excellent analytical skills with ability to generate and back up actionable conclusions with data
Excellent communication skills and willingness to wear multiple hats at a quickly growing organization
