Job Description - Buyer - Planner

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Buyer - Planner. This position will be based at our facility in Omaha, NE. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nIn the role you will help plan and procure a large variety of complex materials and products to effectively support production requirements for our operation. You\u2019ll have the chance to help develop and improve processes by working with cross functional teams. Additionally, your skills will strengthen supplier relations by negotiating prices and setting clear delivery expectations. You are the first step of ensuring that our customers receive a quality product, on time, and that exceeds their expectations. You\u2019ll leverage data to analyze trends within multiple markets and internal situations and provide key insights to improve performance measures. \n\nYour responsibilities may also include: \n\u2022 Develop and execute category strategies based on market trends, supplier capabilities, and organizational needs. \n\u2022 Proactively plan inventory, make Kanban decisions, optimize warehouse in support of the production demand of the plant \n\u2022 Lead sourcing and procurement activities for assigned categories, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and service levels. \n\u2022 Support the organization\u2019s ERP transition by aligning procurement processes, maintaining data accuracy, participating in system testing, and helping train end users. \n\u2022 Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost reductions and favorable conditions. \n\u2022 Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk through regular evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives. \n\u2022 Collaborate cross functionally with operations, finance, and engineering to forecast demand and support business objectives. \n\u2022 Analyze purchasing data, market conditions, and spend trends to drive strategic decision making \n\u2022 Monitor inventory levels, resolve supply issues, and optimize replenishment strategies. \n\u2022 Mentor junior buyers, providing guidance on procurement best practices and category management\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\n\n * High school diploma required\n * Minimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience in purchasing role \n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
